The Notebook Review forums were hosted by TechTarget, who shut down them down on January 31, 2022. This static read-only archive was pulled by NBR forum users between January 20 and January 31, 2022, in an effort to make sure that the valuable technical information that had been posted on the forums is preserved. For current discussions, many NBR forum users moved over to NotebookTalk.net after the shutdown.

    D830 / M4300 WSXGA+ screens?

    Sorry, another screen thread...

    Does anyone know if Dell is still exclusively using the (Samsung) SEC3350 for the WSXGA+ resolution on the Latitude D830 and Precision M4300, or if they have added other manufacturers?

    I've been looking at these on the Outlet site but if they are still all SEC3350 then I'll have to stick with WUXGA instead.

    To answer my own question...

    I talked to someone in tech support and from what he could find out those are still the screens being used. I would love to hear if anyone has something different since his information didn't seem totally definitive.
