I've synced my LifeDrive via BT. It's the same as the Treo's right?

Does the D820 use the same TrueMobile 350 module with the Toshiba stack? If so, good luck. I fought it for months with my Inspiron 9300 and finally gave up and decided to sync via cable and purchased PDA Net for wireless modem connections. Let us all know if you get it to work.

my E1505 has the toshiba stack. To get my LD to sync I first paired them up (from the LD), then I went to the hotsync options on my PC and chose a local com that was bluetooth (you can see a list of your bluetooth com ports in the device manager). For me, it was 7. Then at the top of the hotsync menu (right clicking icon in status tray) I checked the "local" option. Then I hotsynced over bt with my LD. To get to the hotsync over BT option you just choose your PCs name (it'll be there after you pair them) from the list where it normally says cradle/cable. It took me some trial and error to find the right com port. I tried 1 com port, if it didn't work, I cancelled on the palm, then tried the next com port. Like i said, I think it was port 7 in my case. Good luck, if you have any questions, let me know.

On my E1505, bluetooth hotsync was working on COM4 one day, and then the next day, it didn't work, and neither did any other COM port! Has anybody played with this anymore to figure out how to accurately get hotsync to work?

This is with a Tungsten T3

I got my 1705 yesterday with the Dell 350 module. Got the Treo 650 connected without problem, really. Although it took a bit to figure out the wireless hot sync I did get it to work eventually (virtual serial com port 7). The bluetooth local com settings are only avalable through ther control panel and not the bluetooth application settings. Will also do file transfers. Make sure you get them set up as trusted devices.
