how are the screens on the d820's. i've heard from some that they aren't that great.
My sister owns a d810 and i personally really like it. is the screen different from the d820?
this would be the WSXGA+ screens.

Besides the obvious processor and videocard changes, how much better is the d820?

it should be very similar to the D810 as far quality and durability. Of course you'll have better performance with the D820. If i remember right, the D810 has the same look as the D820, so the externals should be the same - it is just different different internals.

oh no, the D820 is completly redesigned, the Dx10 models were a silvery color and the Dx20 are black and much nicer looking in my opinion, The D820 will also perform much better because it has the Dual core processor, it also has the express card slot as well as the traditional cardbus, its also got the better graphics. and if you can afford it I would totally go with the WUXGA, I find it perfect to read and everything, I could never go back to a lower res after using it, its great, no light leakage to speak of, no dead pixels at all, it looks perfect when viewing a movie full screen, but Icant speak for the lower res screens, however I've heard bad things about the cheapest screen (don't know which one that is though)

So i'm guessing the stock screen is a poor-er choice...
i've heard some people not liking the UXGA screens because they are too small
i like the WSXGA+ so i think i'm going to go for that.
How much did you pay for your d820?

WUXGA and WSXGA are native hardware qualities. How big your fonts, icons, etc, are is a software issue - it is up to you how you configure software. XP is not as easy as Vista will be for HD screens. Biggest problem is some websites are not HD-complaint. If you can configure your software OK, then you can't have too dense a screen, hardware-wise. WUXGA is incredible, if setup properly; terrible is left with inappropriate settings.

What about light leakage. Is it just the WXGA that has major issues?
because the d810 with the WSXGA has no light leakage that i can see or really notice.
