    I just ordered a D810 with a stick 256Meg 400MHz.

    I plan to replace that with 2 x 1 Gig 533MHz sticks from Crucial.com

Did I assume correctly that the Latitude Bios will recognize the identical sticks as 533MHz ram and run in 533MHz, dual-channel mode automatically?

I remember Dell advertizing "dual-channel" for i6000 on their web site, but you might want to try to make sure for yourself, if that's important. Click "help me choose" and then "details" on the configuration page.

Well the web site list dual channel memory and 533MHz memory. I have seen little mistakes in some of these features in the past. I have one on the way, so I guess I will know soon enough.
