    D630 arrived (2.6 GHz, 4GB RAM, 7200 HD, Vista Ultimate 32 bit).
    Can it run Vista Ultimate 64 bit ?

    It can, but you have a Vista 32bit OEM license. You'd have to purchase another copy of Vista.

    All Windows Vista licenses are valid for both 32-bit and 64-bit versions. If you obtain installation media for the 64-bit version, you can legally install and use it with your existing license.

    Yes the OEM keys for 32-bit and 64-bit are the same and if you are able to obtain an installation media for 64-bit (even a Retail one) you can install a preactivated OEM 64-bit Vista Ultimate.... For more info you can refer to one of my posts previously made by me yesterday or so....

    +1. If fact, if you buy Vista Ultimate retail, it comes with both 32 bit and 64 bit version on seperate DVDs.

    I am running 64bit Ultimate right now on my D630. I used all of the Dell drivers. Works great!
