    Hi All,

I recently bought a d630 and have started to come across a few annoying issues, just wondering if any of you have experienced or are experiencing similar issues or whether or not this is an isolated case or in fact normal occurrences.

I find that my d630's hard drive makes intermittent high pitched metallic squeaks/scratchy noises that last for no more than a millisecond. At first it only occurred sparingly, but now seems to occur quite often.. Further to this i find that the hard drive seems to load quite a bit even if i'm not really doing anything.

Also the laptop generates quite a bit of heat towards the back left. The fan almost continuously runs, even when the machine is first started and is in idol, activities which i think wouldn't really require a lot of heat to be generated or need the fan to run so much. Other laptops i have used would hardly generate much heat or have the fan run so often  .
