Most recently my D630 has been acting goofy. I am running four applications usually, and the notebook keeps frozen on me. I can move my mouse around, and I can see the hourly sunglass going up and down. But the system is not responding to any of my command, I tried to hit Ctrl, Alt, Delete and it is not working. I have to manually turn it off, and restart it. I have contracted tech. support, but they can’t figure out what’s wrong with it. anyone got some ideas, any help will be appreciated.

I had issues as well after installing the latest Microsoft updates. Bluetooth functionality would sometimes not load, and would put my computer into a "disk thrashing" mode and everything would become sluggish. It's almost the equivalent of running a heavy program in the background, although the computer would keep chugging along.

I tried all BT drivers I could find online, and while I got them to work sometimes, none gave me a stable solution.

It came down to my PCMCIA BT card (Zoom telephonics), and the drivers trying to get the thing to fire up. I've taken it out for now, and hoping that whatever conflict those updates brought will be rectified by Microsoft in the future. MY BT stack/hardware worked flawless until the upgrades. Unfortunately I installed a good few of them and are unable to identify which one is the trouble maker.

Do some Google-ing. I understand a few other folks out there had issues with the latest round of updates.

    Good luck.
