I travel a lot and find that my Inspiron 700m is great for tight airline seats when I fly domestically. I am a little worried that the D630 will be too tall to comfortably use on an airline. I have a T60 14.1 that is too tall to have the lid fully open and I would like to avoid that. Can someone tell me the height of the screen from the base of the laptop to the top when opened?

    The dimensions of the laptop are 337 x 238 x 32.3mm (13.3" x 9.37" x 1.27").

Height from base to top of the screen is about 10.64".

A 14.1" widescreen (such as the D630) will be considerably shorter than a 14.1" standard 4:3 screen.
