Dell's currently not offering discrete video or Turbo Memory options on their Santa Rosas yet.

I wonder if you can add-in the Turbo memory on your own?

You cant without a motherboard replacement, There are 2 boards, discrete which used discrete video cards, and integrated, which has the video soultion in the chipset on the board. Right now the only option is integrated.

I think you mixed up changing the graphic card with adding Intel Turbe Memory (Robson). Turbo Memory might be addable later but the bios needs to support it and you need a free mini pci express slot. Not sure if the D630 has either.

You will have to get a new mother board to do that

Is the Intel Turbo Memory on the mainboard? I know that Intel said that it was on of the options. But if Turbo Memory is also available as a mini pci-e card then it should be upgradeable.

I must be high -- I thought they already had an option to configure the D630 with dedicated graphics.

Edit: 256MB NVIDIA® Quadro NVS 110M TurboCache™ is an option for discrete graphics. Is that the same thing as dedicated?

Edit 2: I can't believe it took me this long to notice that the one with dedicated graphics was SR.

The memory is a mini PCIe card that you add in. If it does have the slot then you should be able to add it in. Its questionable how easy it would be though, by the looks of the screen shots.

I'm curious though if theres going to be a vendor that sells them in the future.

Nice! Maybe they just lack the supplies to offer the cards at the moment.
