I just realized Dell Canada has listed D630 and D830 in their business section...
    D630
    D830
No Discrete Graphics Card option yet :(

Weird, when I click your link I'm taking the DX30, but if I just goto dell.ca -> small business -> latitude they still have the DX20s listed.

Nevermind, they both appear now. I don't know why I bothered waiting, I configured a D630 from the Canadian and American websites, exact same specs. If I were to buy from the US I'd save around $400CDN. What a screw-job.

humm... same problem here... I cannot make up my mind to buy a D830, although I badly need a new laptop... $400 is a lot of money ... I don't understand why they don't offer the same deals as US

Actually, the price difference is around $224 assuming you were honest with customs. :p

I'm not entirely sure if you can order from Dell US from Canada. I have a mailbox in the US though and family I could order through.

Also I just noticed processesors offered for D630 on the Canadian site are all 667Mhz. Is that a typo? WTF! :)

Even with my 12% (educational discount) it's still cheaper to buy it in the states full price! 50$ for the bluetooth module? whatever...

I'll call my friends in Seattle this week :) You can transfer the owner (and warrenty) on the latitude line.

I will probably order a D630 for my daughter for her first year of Canadian university. How do I obtain the "student discount" (12%) that was referenced? Is there any point in awaiting a better, discreet graphics card? She is not a huge gamer (I don't think). Could the card be upgraded subsequently? As far as anyone is aware, will there be any improvements forthcoming in the next month or two (on the 630), that would make sense to wait for? Phew!
