1-Currently D620 is much cheaper than D630. Should I hurry if I want to buy a D620?
2-Does D630 has a really better performance than D620?
3-Can any body compare the two models in terms of battery life and weight?
Thanks!

dude dont let the sales fool you, i bought a e1505 thinking i got a great deal, a week later everything upgraded and didnt budge price wise so give it a bit unless u need it right now

I assume the D620 will be discontinued shortly. From what I've heard, the performance difference is not significant. However, the D630 is somewhat more future-proof:
* Supports 4Gb RAM (D620 only 3.25Gb)
* Supports the new line of processors
* Has expresscard (I think?)
If those things matter less, get the one with a better price, but don't expect the D620 to stay for long. -
The D620 supporsts 4 GB aswell.. with an 64 bit OS

The most important thing added to the D630 is a much brighter screen. Personally, I had a D620 and got rid of it because the LCD was terrible. Keep in mind that the D630 are not in production yet, so don't look for a ship date before early to mid-June.
I ordered a D830 and the estimate ship date was June 11th. Couldn't wait that long so I canceled. -
Someone please correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe all 14.1" screens on the D620 were upgraded to 220 nits brightness with the latest batch of LCDs.

There's a good overview of the updates to the Latitudes here.
As I see it, the main advantages of the D630 are:
- better battery life
- brighter screens (though maybe this has been added to D620 as well, I don't really know)
- faster bus speeds
- 802.11n wireless available
- Optional Intel turbo memory (flash cache)
- Better integrated graphics. (Not sure about dedicated graphics option.) -
If you need the extra power, wait for the new D630.
If you're on a budget, and you don't do a lot of high powered processing or frequent software upgrades, the D620 will suffice. -
