    How does the keyboard feel?

I was thinking about buying a T61 but the semi-terrible screen and just plain terrible battery life just killed it for me. I am now looking at the D630 and wondering what the keyboard will be like. I know the battery will be awesome and the screen is much better than before so those are of small concern at the moment.

How did he get the D630 if it hasn't been released yet? But yes, I was assuming they were the same thing, just different screens and internal parts.

I've used a D620, and they keyboard was nice. There's almost no flex at all, which is very nice. However, the keyboard felt a little "mushy" for my taste... I would prefer something with a little bit firmer feel. Still, I have never found a laptop keyboard that I thought was perfect and I would still rate this keyboard easily above average for a laptop keyboard.

I don't know if it's changed at all for the D630, but I doubt it.

Is there any info online that describes the screen, how it is better, etc.? I just heard that it's slightly brighter from someone.. that's all.

Screen is alright if it's standard 1280x800.. i prefer the SXGA+ screen of D820 which is very accurate in colors and it's bright.

Dell's Keyboard is great the size fits most fingers and the key's position is most logical.

620 screen is not so bright.. and the whiteness is not really white. It reminds me of old Dell with 1024x768 screen. Eventhough viewing angle is good for matte screen.

People are saying the original screen was awful with 180 nits brightness, the new ones are to have 220 nits. For comparison, my Viewsonic VX2025 has 300 nits (a 20.1" desktop monitor).

Can you show me a reference? I am really in a hesitation between T61 and D630.

    D630 announcement

As far as the T61, most people are saying it is about 200 nits and not much better than previous screens, I can't find for sure in terms of proof. Sorry =[
