    Hello,

Anyone know how much the 6-cell secondary modular bay battery weighs for the D620? I have a 4-cell battery, but because I don't use my DVD drive often, I'm thinking of buying a 6-cell battery for that bay, but I'd like to know how much extra weigh it would add on to my D620.

    Thank you!

I had the bay battery for the D620 and it felt like it weighed the same as the regular 6 cell. Since the bay battery is also a 6-cell, it makes sense that it would weigh about the same as the regular battery. By the way, the regular 6-cell weighs .73 lbs.

The D620 didn't feel too heavy with the bay battery but it would show 6+hrs of battery life on full brightness and wifi on when using both batteries.

Also, the bay battery has the same built-in battery meter like on the regular batteries. So, you can push the button and it will light up the LEDs to indicate the approximate remaining charge. A very handy feature.
    Hope that helps...

I know Dell lists two separate modular bay batteries here and here for the new D620/D820 and the older Latitudes, but they should be the exact same. So the modular bay weighs 0.77lb, just slightly more than the primary 6-cell. The optical drive weighs ~0.4lb in comparison.
