    Besides the obvious configuration differences...are there any differences to body design? I have heard the "m" looks more plastic and the "d" has a metal look to it. Can anyone confirm deny this finding. Thanks!!

    Yes, the cosmetics are different, the innards are the exact same.

    Is one nicer than the other (cosmetically)...I have seen the D600 here at the office and it looks like a metal outside. Thanks Brian!!

    It's a personal decision. I don't really care for either t be honest, but that's just me. Take a look at the pictures online to see what suits you better.
