Hi there!
I was planning to buy a Dell Notebook for work (must be Dell...). I am mainly working with Matlab and have to compute quite large matrices. So memory and processor performance bother me most (and hd speed/performance). I was considering the D630, D830 or M4300. Price is secondary since the company is paying if justifiable. From what I read is the M4300 pretty much the same as the D830/D630 (besides some graphic card stuff which I dont need)
Since I plan to work mainly on docking stations I want a light and portable but powerful notebook. Since the D630 is lighter I would prefer this one D600 (T7500, 4GB).
My question is whether the D630 supports 2 LCD's when placed in a docking station. Is this the digital DVI?
Does anybody know if any graphics card supports 720p mode. I would like to connect my plasma TV at home to the dock if possible.
Does anybody know what these hybrid hard drives are?
Are disks with 7200rpm much louder than the ones on 5400rpm? How are the performance differences?
Thanks a lot!
Larry

When connected to the Dell dock, you can have up to two displays being driven. Whether that is the built in laptop screen and one external screen, or two external screens is up to the user. You can NOT use all three at once however.
The Dell dock has a VGA port and DVI port on it. -
Hej Khris!
Thanks for the reply.! You dont happen to know whether the DVI port is digital. DVI can be either digital or analogue. If yes I could connect my flatscreen via a DVI-HDMI cable... -
No idea, and the spec sheet doesn't really say either way.
