can any one comment on the D-View Notebook Stand? im thinking about getting it and running dual screens with my samsung 20" lcd and D630 that i just ordered. im currently using the D-Family Monitor Stand with an Inspiron 600m so i was originally planning to reuse the dock. then i discovered the D-View. so, any comments would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

It looks really cool. I'd buy it if I was gonna use it at my desk a lot.

personally, if you have a d/Port Advanced Port Replicator (cheaper) it'll do the same....
if you want your monitor higher, stack it up on a phonebook or two. i dunno i guess i dont like the elevation on an angle. just my personal preference

unless you want a bunch of extra wires, i would recommend the iCurve (no its not made by apple) it basically lifts your laptop up and puts it on two arm rest things so it keeps the laptop cooler. its like $30-$40 when i bought it couple years ago. the only downside is it does only that, cools your laptop and raises it so thats its better to use for posture etc.

i guess i neglected to mention that i am already using the d/Port Advanced Port Replicator WITH the d-Family monitor stand. the most important thing is the port replicator...

im wondering if anyone has experience with the d-View because im thinking of replacing my monitor stand so that i can run dual screens

I am interested in exactly the same thing. How did it work out for you? Did you use the replicator?
