Please tell me I am catching Dell at a bad time. Every phone call to them in the past 3 days(5 in all) I have listened to reception tell me they are going through maintenance and to call back in three hours. The first call I thought was automated, when I called the second time it was a different voice. I interrupted and told them I need to speak with someone about cancelling a part of my order. I was told I have to call back in 3 hours. Well the same thing was happening 4 hours later. Today I got really angry and they said they would transfer me to the manager. What a joke, manager did not answer and the voicemail was full. What a surprise! I may just send the laptop back as soon as I get it. I have never been so aggravated by a company in my life.

Sorry to hear about your troubles. Phone maintenance can happen, even at Dell. Have you tried email, or chat?

I have emailed twice as a matter of fact. I have yet to hear back from that. But for routine maintenace to be happening 3 days at each time I call is really odd, don't you think?

Email responses from Dell have typically been 48 hrs later for me in the past. I agree, might not be the most effective method of communication.
Yes, it is odd that you were told, on three different days, that they were having phone problems. Are you always calling around the same time? -
Nope, I called the first time around 4pm and then around 8pm. Yesterday and today I called before 1pm. Yes I did read on my confirmation email that they usually answer within 24 hours, but I am not holding my breath. I have a desktop that I bought from them a few years back and they were great.

Dell has never answered by emails to XPS 1530 tech department .

I got the same automated message from Dell CS, i just had to keep on calling back at different times and I eventually got through, tried 6-7 times.
