I recently made a order for a I9300 and I wanted to upgrade the shipping so it would come sooner. It was starting to scare me because it was in the build stage for 4 or 5 days. I sent an email to them asking if I could upgrade and they sent this back....
Please note that estimated ship date provided is just an estimate and your order can ship before that as well.

However, as appreciation of the patience that you have shown, I have change the shipping method of your order number 748000009 from 5 Days or less shipping method to Next Day shipping method at no additional charge.

Cant beat that service I advise anyone that has ordered one recently to do the same :D

I did the same thing for a friend a couple of months ago. The thing wasn't going to arrive for a friend to pick it up and bring it oversease. We contacted them and they upgraded us to... UPS Next day air service... which costs about $50-$70 extra usually from dell.. Not bad!

I think the best way to contact them is over chat. But If you can't get the problem resolved then go for the phone. With dell its kinda hard knowing what to expect with there customer service. One incodent everything will be great... and they will fix the problem just like you wanted them to... Othertimes you will have to spend a couple hours on the phone, and your call might be cut off... and you'll have to call back...

Agreed. Doober, I think you lucked out. I bought a Dell desktop back in '98 or '99. The customer service was great back then. However, I bought a notebook for my parents a year ago. I had to call customer service while setting it up for them. To make a long story short, the customer service has gone down the toilet. Why in the world does it take 3 transferred phone calls and over an hour on the phone just to get a windows CD?

Thanks goodness I found that out before I bought my notebook a few months later. I was planning on buying Dell. Never again.

Doober, there are many reasons to buy Dell. Customer Service is not one of them.

Sometiems dells service kinda sucks, but me personally is it really worth paything the extra cash and buying somthing else? You could spend $500 more get an IBM with the same specs as a dell and have great service, or you could spend a couple of hours trying to get a hold of someone on the phone from dell to answer your questions, or help with a warranty problem. For me the $500 is more important then the couple of hours on the phone. But If you don't have time for that trash, and want a very nice, well built notbook, go with an IBM, Asus, or Fijitsu.
