Today I finally decided to use my 9 cell battery for the first time. As I flipped my laptop over to install said device. I noticed that the stickers with the serial number, service tag, and Windows code were placed on CROOKED! This is outragous for a $2200 laptop! I called CSR and demanded they send me a replacement, and if that one doesn't have the stickers on straight I will have them send me another, and another and another until they are placed on perfectly. I think Dell should compensate me for this poor attention to quality, no? How many others have this problem? We should start a Class action lawsuit...yes?

Wow. I'm pretty sure those crooked stickers have COMPLETELY ruined the whole user experience. I'd DEFINITELY NOT use my laptop anymore if the stickers beneath my laptop were crooked. THANK GOD they're not! I love you Dell, and your straight stickers! *hugs*

    /sarcasm

    [EDIT: sorry, couldn't resist :D]

Dell put that on crooked just to put a CURSE on MAC5217 because they don't like Mackies. MAC5217 must be from CF as there are a lot of mindless jerks just like him over there.

Shouldn't posts like this be deleted?

From now on, I will assume it is a troll when I see thread titles like "Curse you Dell!!", "%$%@ Dell" or "Dell REALLY SUUUUCKS" or anything else of the nature.

I actually read these threads for my own reference and to help people out, if I can.

This poster's moaning about how the stickers on the BOTTOM aren't even and demanding a replacement because of that is a bit extreme, IMHO.

Threatening a class-action law-suit over that issue makes that poster (again, IMHO) cross the line from extreme into ridiculous/troll.

At least title the thread "Dell put my laptop's stickers on crooked" or something like that.

Gees, what happened to a sense of humor? Does the topic cut too close to the bone? Anyway, I have a similar problem, but it's even worse. One of my memory modules has a finger print on it. This is obviously not a new laptop, but one someone returned and Dell just sent back to me as new. I'm on the phone with my lawyer right now, this thing is going to set me up for life. Consider me included in the class, MAC5217.

PS, does anyone know how to get my freakin floppy back out of a Mac? There's no eject button. This may be yet another source for a lawsuit if I don't get my floppy back intact.

Whatever you do don't try to re-apply the stickers as that will void the warranty of the entire machine.

LOL. Eh, guys...I was only joking! Just got tired of reading thread after thread of ridiculuos complaints I read. And although this complaint may seem a bit extreme, it is not much diiferent then ALOT of others I have seen on this board. If we look hard enough, we can all find some kind of fault on our laptops, the vast majority of them are not valid complaints, but some posters try to make bigger issues, then they really are....as in my post.

I love my XPS m1530, no problems what so ever(...except for crooked stickers!) Sorry if I got anyone upset....but...LIGHTEN UP!

Just for kicks, what are some examples of invalid complaints you've seen on here? I really haven't seen that many. Are you still going to sue?

Uh oh, now I've been totally exposed and shamed by this guy into just accepting my grainy $2700+ fake-WSXGA+ screen. You know, because that's so much the same as a simple cosmetic problem that has nothing to do with the intrinsic function of a laptop. I mean, if you're a total retard.

Did people actually think he was serious? It's pretty obvious he was making fun of all the people complaining over minor/non issues and yet most of you seem to have fallen for it.
