Alright, I've had my m1530 for about a week now...
2.6 Ghz Intel Core 2 Duo
3GB Ram
nVidia 8600m GT
200 GB HD 7200 RPM
1680x1050 LCD panel
I have not done a clean install or any tweaking yet, too lazy, so my performance is not optimized yet.
My buddy picked up Crysis last night and stopped by my place before heading home. I convinced him to let me see how well the 1530 could run it before I dropped the money for it.
So, I install it, set it to "optimized settings" and get if it a try. First off, it looks amazing. DX10, IMO is everything I hoped it would be. The physics engine is also amazing, and I love cutting trees down with a machine gun, haha.
So at 1200x800 with 2xAA and medium settings all around, I'm getting avg 21 FPS with a min of 13 and a max of 27. Its not amazing, but you really only notice any lag when you are in a big firefight running around and such, but its still not bad
So, I would highly recommend the m1530 for someone who wants to game, but doesn't need the biggest and best system around.
and I'll be going to pick up Crysis after work...

I wouldn't worry too much about the m1530 for gaming. There were a couple of threads talking about Crysis and how poorly coded and optimized the game is. It seems all other recent game like COD4 are running very well on the m1530. I'm sure they will release a patch soon that will help to improve the situation.

oh yea, I'm not complaining, just trying to give people who are interested in buying and idea of what to expect.
Its definetly enough for my needs -
try to use custom configs

BenLeonheart walk in see this wat do?
Nice n_n.
Em... Did you update your 8600mGT drivers? or are you using the default ones?
Another question;
Would it be the same if ... per say, I have 2.2Ghz? Any performance difference?
(I still yet to try Crysis, but I have not had a chance to do so... T_T )
Thanks!
By the way, You're not overclocking the card, are you? -
I did update the driver. I just clicked the "update driver" in the hardware properties, and I'm not even exactly sure which driver it is.
I doubt you'd see a great deal of performance difference in the game with at 2.2 Ghz. Except maybe which explosions and the processings of some of the higher-demand physics, but I don't really know.
and I am not OC'ing the card at all -
I'd rather have high fps, min 30, than the best visuals. Just me, but a game that stutters during all the absolute most intense scenes is ****.
