    Fellow Forum Members,

I recently recieved a 2GB crucial PC2 5300 SODIMM as a gift for my XPS m1330. Without knowing this gift was coming, I ordered a 2gb Corsair PC2 5300 SODIMM from an online retailer. I have read some horror stories about mixing different brands of memory, and most of these stories point to the latency timing of the actual RAM chips. I checked the Corsair Website, and for the SODIMM i bought, the latency timings are as follows: 5-5-5-15-2T.

The Crucial website (and I called/emailed their tech support) only lists the CL as 5. The two SODIMMS are also the same voltage.

So my question is, should worry about mixing these two RAM brands or am I better of returning the Corsair (albeit at my own expense) and buying another Crucial?

    Thanks in advance,

    booji
