When I bought my Dell 3 years ago I got the option to include the Creative SoundBlaster Audigy software. It is just software, not an actual sound card upgrade, but it definitely made audio quality much better. The computer has a Sigmatel audio device.

Does anyone know if there is a driver/software update for this that will make it work with Windows 7? I installed the software from Dell's drivers and downloads site which made it work with Vista, but no luck. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

you're gonna have to wait for Creative (the makers of soundblaster) to release a Win7 version (IF THEY EVER DO).

Creative never even got all their legacy devices supported for Windows Vista, so I wouldn't hold my breath for it.
