I've just gotten my Vostro 1500 and everything seems to be in order thankfully! I got XP on it because of Vista compatibility issues with some programs I use.
I have a 160gb harddrive I'd like to partition, but when I go to disk management there isn't any allocatable space. Do I have to format the disk in order to make my own partitions? And if I do how will that affect the programs like MediaConnect, McAfee etc. that were already installed, as well as all the XP updates that were applied? Probably a stupid question but I haven't had a lot of experience with this sort of stuff
