I've been wanting to order a Latitude D620, and I knew that Dell has a student percentage-based discount. But at the same time they have been running a deal on the small business site that has $350 off $1400 Latitudes. So I called up dell and asked if I could combine discounts, and the guy told we I could. Then when I called back to actually order today, he said that I would have to do one or the other. I though maybe I could threaten to walk away and order though the small business dept., which would infact be a little cheaper. But it seamed like the guy on the phone could order it either way, and it sounded like he was looking on the website just like me. Apparently the reps at dell don't really cut deals.

So here's my question. There are all these crazy coupons for inspirons on the home site, and occasionlly some instant $ off on the business site. Are there coupons that work with the education discount. If so, do they ever have them for latitudes?

I got the same asnwer when I bought my D820. I could choose student discount or the 350 off. I went with the 350 off since Small Business was also offering free shipping.

Dell does have coupons available for EEP. Sometimes they're similar to the coupons offered by Dell Home/Small Business. So you'd be able to use EEP coupons and still receive the 6-12% student discount. You just have to wait around for them to release some coupons.

EDIT: Just reread your post and realized you were looking for a Latitude. Disregard my post & good luck :)
