Dell gave me the option after denting and scratching the lid of my machine. If anything goes wrong in the next couple of days I could receive a replacement machine. Or I could take the option of a 35 concession coupon. What should I do?

I'd take the replacement machine (especially if they say it will be brand new or with upgrades), especially if even a hint of a new problem crops up with your machine. $35 isn't exacly worth having to deal with new issues...plus to get that $35 you have to spend it one Dell's site...which means you'll buy something for more than $35 (and end up spending money you originally didn't want to).

    BTW, what do you have?

Take the new machine, 35 bucks is not much of a concession..

but be sure that the specs are equal/better...also I guess you gotta worry about the screen and whether or not you'll get a decent one....
    something to think about, anyway.
