When you add your notebook to the cart, there should be a coupon box to enter the number. After you check "apply coupon" or something like that, the new calculation will reflect the discounted price if the conditions of the coupon are met.

For instance, if you are building through the "Government, Education, and Health Care" option as a teacher or student to get the academic discount, coupons will often not work. Go back and configure the computer through the "Home & Home Office" option. Your coupon, say if it is for Inspiron notebooks, should work.

Not sure what i'm doing wrong i did everything you said and it says you must sign in to retrieve coupon, i did this but after you sign in there is no where else to apply coupon, i also applied coupon number where it says apply coupon before you sign in and still no coupon discount, and it's not listed in total price, shipping and tax etc is listed but not coupon.

Are you using this code? ZF432ZM2$TDGFN
BTW, I think it works only on Inspirons, such at the E1505 and the E1705.

You might try this coupon: ?GPP41899DNM1F
It's supposed to work on configurations of $1499 or more, which reminds me that $1499 is the minimum configuration, so make sure you reach that amount. Increase your RAM or processor or graphics card (all worthy upgrades) to achieve $1499. You'll save money and have a better computer.

    Hope that helps.

Actually the configuration came to $1600 before tax.

This is a copy and paste of the coupon located on this forum..
Use code QQ0PKWMH$RVZ02 to save $300 off any $1,499.00+ Dell Inspiron notebook. (valid 2/1/2007 7:00:00 AM - 3/1/2007 7:00:00 AM)

Something must be wrong on Dell's site. I just tried both coupons on a configuation and neither worked. I did it last night and the first worked as it is supposed, and I've read where others have used them. Keep trying during different times today or, better yet, contact Dell. Something is amiss.

Post to this thread if you get it to work.

You're welcome. Glad to hear you discovered the problem. Now, why didn't my attempt work this morning? LOL. It worked last night.

Hope you enjoy your new computer.

Clearing your cookies and internet cache might help that sometimes, if that's the problem.
