Few questions that I am curious about. Is the XPS 1530 able to handle SC 2 with ease? Is the new montenvia going to an option for a better graphic card? Once the refresh comes out, are we looking at paying retail for a least a couple of months? Is 25% off coupon a pretty good deal right now? Is the warrenty recommended? Thanks guys

Are you referring to Starcraft 2? If so, it is yet unreleased, no?

As for the warrenty, well, like any warranty, its up to you. On an expensive notebook such as this, its not a bad idea to get a decent in-home warrenty, if your budget allows it.

When you spend a bundle on your laptop, you want to insure it :). That is my case, you never know who wants to help themselves.

If you leave it at home all the time, might not be so much of an issue, depending on where you live. In any case, most home owner's insurance policies would cover a laptop's theft, no matter where it is stolen.

im actually moving to Chicago for optometry school in a dorm like setting. I cant imagine future doctors trying to steal someone elses laptop...
But I will be be traveling a lot back and forth between California and there so i guess it might be a good idea.

Key word here is "future" doctor. Before they actually become doctors, they're poor students :) All joking aside, just make sure you have *some* kind of theft insurance. Whether it be your home insurance, Dell's, or whatever.

just make sure you always know where it is and lock it up when you are not with it and you should be fine. But yeah you never know who is a thief so be carefull. As for SC 2 I doubt the graphic settings are going to be too high but I would suggest having a Nvidia Geoforce 8600 that should be able to handle it.

oh also for games a 5200 rpm hard drive is a big bottle neck so look at getting a 7200 rpm drive either when you get or by upgrading it later.

The 25% of deal is nice it was the deciding factor for me on getting one now.
