I just read NotebookReview's guide to Intel's Penryn processors and got quite excited at the end when I read this:
"The revolution comes late this year when Intel rolls out Nehalem, their next-generation processor with an integrated memory controller in the CPU core."
Would we possibly see this in the M1330 by the end of 2008 or would it be improbable due to the major hardware changes that this may entail?

No, mobile Montevina is coming out in Q2 2009. The platform name is Calpella. Auburndale is the dual core cpu with a gpu on it.
Read this wikipedia page (it is true). Go down to the 6th generation Core platform: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Centrino -
aww man.. if only it would come out in Q1 at the latest The M1330 would be quite an old model by then..

Montevina will still use the Core Microarchitecture, using the Penryn Processor.
Calpella is the Intel Platfrom due out in 2009, which will use Nehalem, which is a new processor microarchitecture.
Correct me if I'm wrong. -
An intergrated memory controller? Thats an innovative idea
*cough*AMD*Cough*for ages and ages*cough

Nope, it will be Intel. I doubt it will compete with a discrete card, but should be a much better and more battery efficient integrated solution.
By the time Nehalem is out, there will most likely be a successor to the m1330.

Ditto, the M1330 will be replaced by then. About the GPU being on the die, it will just be disabled for systems that have a dedicated GPU

Even if the 1330 is still around the new architecture in the Nahalem based chip will require a new motherboard...meaning new revision. Unfortunately.
Could I expect Nehalem Procs in the M1330 by Q4 2008?
