    I am Canadian.
When I look at the Dell.ca price for a 9400, then
do a slightly better machine at dell.com (1705), basically the same machine, has the same parts (am I correct?),

When including exchange into the calculations...
Why is there a 30% price difference? (1705 much cheaper)
Is there a proper way to get a 1705 in canada then?

yes, the E1705 and 9400 are exactly the same system. They have the same chassis, and pretty much the same configuration options. I'm not sure why the price is different, as they are the same system. 30% is big difference, maybe its got somethint to do with the exchange, or maybe because one of the laptops are for business use.

I think they do it because, its in the "business" section, and they think the "business" people won't have time to find the deal, and will just build that system. For money :D
