So, I apparently can't configure the E1505 at all with 667mhz memory. Talked with the online assistant and they pointed me towards an upgrade modual which was $100 for 1x512 667mhz .. $200 for 1gb of memory. PFF yea right. Not only is that crazy over priced, I still have to install it myself, and I am stuck with buying the 512mb of 533mhz ram that comes with the system.
I didn't even think the Core 2 Duo's would run properly with PC4200 from what I've heard. So I ask again, what the?

Please keep your thread title clean for next time, thanks.
It doesn't make a difference if you get 533 or 667MHz RAM . . both should perform equally, and you will most certainly not notice the difference between the two. Although the 667MHz RAM has more bandwidth, it is hampered by higher latencies and thus the advantage is negated.
I don't believe the Core Duo/Core 2 Duo can use DDR2-400; 533MHz and 667MHz RAM is A-OK. -
I was looking to spec out my system according to the review on the front page. It looked perfect. -

Answering my own question. Annnnnnnnnnnnnnnd of course Chaz is right. Little difference if any.
New question: 60gb 7200rpm vs. 120gb 5400rpm ...... same price .. any noticable performance gain that would make it worth getting half the space? Busy reading the sticky: http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=59053 -

With your plans for the computer, it probably won't matter which you get. WoW isn't a beast or anything, but the 7200 would make it load faster as well as Windows. But really, 5400 is still OK I think. And from what I've heard, the bigger the hard drive is, the more tightly compacted the data is and therefore the computer doesn't have to search as hard for it thereby making it faster. This makes sense, and would lead to the conclusion that the 120GB 5400 would be just as fast as the 60GB 7200. If you were comparing a 100GB 7200 to a 120GB 5400, I would say go for the 100 gig. But between those two, I say go for the 120GB. That's a lot of space that's always good to have. I kinda wish I had another 20 gigs of space.

Thanks nb_ftw I think I'll opt for the 120gb. Now that that is settled .. to go Draft N or not to. $50 upgrade for support of a standard that isn't even finalized. I think that might be the only change I make from the review model. I might just go with the Broadcom 1390, and because it's $100 extra (a bit much for a 3cell upgrade) I'll be skipping the 9cell.
