My Inspiron 9400 is due to arrive tomorrow and, needless to say, I can't wait to get my hands on it.
In the meantime I'd like to ask whether someone at this forum could solve a problem that's been bugging me these last few days.
I opted for the Vista Home basic in my configuration since I'm not at all impressed by the Aero and I didn't feel like spending the extra $X on a more powerful version of Windows.
However, a friend of mine told me that Vista Home (Basic and Premium) doesn't support multiple cores which, in his words, makes my core 2 duo 5600, well, castrated
Is this true or should I stop worrying?
Tnx

He's not right, multiple cores on one CPU socket are supported... multiple CPU sockets aren't.

Thanks a lot!
Now, if only Nvidia solves the driver problem that's causing Galactic Civilizations 2 to freeze and I'll be in for one happy summer
Core 2 Duo and Vista Home Basic
