Hey does anyone know if the new processors that are coming with the santa rosa chipset are affected (T7100/T7300/T7500), or are these bugs for all Core2Duo systems even the older (T7200/T7400/T7600)?

Should I be concerned about these processor bugs? I know that dell has AMD X2 (1521, etc) processors, should I opt for these instead?

Yeah, that doesn't seem plausible to me. I wouldn't pay any attention to that. Intel has spent many, many years developing these new systems.

All processors have erratas. I wouldnt worry about it considering that there arent any known exploits for these. In any case if the bugs are pretty serious then the processors will usually be recalled and replaced with fixed versions.

I'm pretty new here, and as a med student my focus has been on the biological side of the sciences, so I have no idea what an errata is.

So, for those like me, uneducated but eager to learn, can anyone explain what an errata is?

    Thanks.
