So i've bought a cooling platform for my laptop (M1530 with 8600MGT DDR3), the coolermaster Notepal. I was a litle confused of wich to buy. Did I made a good choice or should've got the Zalman Cooler ZM-NC1000 ?

Because it's pretty hot here, about 27 degrees in my room. the gpu gets close to 63 degrees, but when the fan starts it cools down to a 55 degrees and rises to 63 max again (when surfing, in game it's max 75, 78).

sounds like your temps are pretty normal actually. Idk, as long as your fan isn't sucking air, but instead pushing air up into the system you are good.

the issues people see is when the temps go into the 90s

My temps are pretty consistent with yours. Also the most I have heard of with the coolers is a 2-4 C degree change. So personally I just elevate the machine more to get air flow under it.

The cheaper solution is to run a program called I8kfanGUI. Run the fan in slow mode and your laptop will run a lot cooler. My 8400GS idles at 47c.

    You can set the fans:

    a) Auto

    b) Manual Slow or Fast

Your lappy will run cooler, guaranteed.
