Using Ati Tool and nTune it shows:
475Mhz Core
400Mhz Memory
By Official Specs 8600M GT is:
475Mhz Core
700Mhz Memory
What is wrong here?
-
It's the DDR2 version, which is clocked at 400MHz and not 700MHz like the GDDR3 version.
-
Are all Vostros like that?
So we are screwed, aren't we? -
Yep. The only laptop with the GDDR3 version of the 8600GT that i know of is the Asus G1s
-
The ASUS G2s and Apple Macbook Pro also has the GDDR3 version.
Confused with my video card frequencies (8600M GT)
