Confused while choosing the right color Inspiron 1525

Hi, i m a male and i have decided to buy Inspiron 1525 but the only problem is i cant decide which color to choose. I have following options :
1. Alpine White
2. Chill
3. Espresso Brown
4. Midnight Blue

I m leaning towards white and chill patterns. I guess chill pattern would look great but is it too girly?

Hey, I'm a girl..hope you don't mind my opinion...but I think it's cool when I see guy's with the Midnight Blue and Expresso Brown lappys

Chill isn't bad either...But I think the M.Blue and E. Brown are more *masculine* and would be nice color choices.

Question...when you look at all of them together...Which one *pops* out at you? That is a good way to go about it, also! : )

i went with alpine white because its glossy...

the special designs are glossy as well, everything else (the plain colours) have a microsatin finish

Sadly, it seems that i cant edit the post into a poll.

I have been searching for colors for last 4-5 hours and i think white / chill / brown colors suites me best. I would like suggestions from inspiron owners too and how yours laptops look in real life.

Is there any thread having different color configurations ?

It looks like you like the E.Brown color Keep that in mind..as you just mentioned it .I have the 1530 in red..and I lurves it very much

I'm sure the other Inspiron owner's will chime in and give you suggestions also!

There are some threads yes...I will check it in a bit..Otherwise, you can go into Search feature at the top of the page ~ type in 1525 color choices or something, and you will amazingly get a ton of results It's cool

I think midnight blue wont suite with the silver KB and interface of the laptop.
My narrowed down choices are : Alpine white, Chill , Brown, Street (maybe).

Off topic : Will adding Sound Blaster Audio improve audio quality far beyond than the integrated audio ?

I m in no way fan of mp3s but i do love watching movies a lot and sometimes hear music. I mean do i really need to add Sound blaster audigy in the configuration ?

Sorry, I do that with artwork when I am down to like 2 choices..I place the pieces next to each other, and let my *eyes & heart* help me with the decsion!

hmm.. i m watching 6-7 videos i downloaded from youtube of Inspiron Alpine white, will decide about white after thats done.

mmmmm. No, it wouldn't look *uncool* at all... If that is what you want then you should get it!

Remember, the color will define you with the lappy! And it's not that bad..I would just worry about getting it dirty...But then again..I like things clean and neat most of the time...

It's a nice *fresh color*!!!! If that is what you are leaning towards and want..I say go for it! You will need to post pics, for sure!

I agree with your opinions, laptop will be integral part of my personality when i m moving around in campus.

Here in India, laptops are not used in classes for taking notes and seen rarely at the colleges. Most of the ppl like to keep them at their residence or use in college for accessing Wi-Fi.

Certainly i m leaning towards Alpine white shade but i would like more user inputs and pictures if any as google didnt return promising images.

Sure white looks like a macbook which i wanted to buy before deciding a dell purchase, but it didnt fit in the budget.

I didnt get meaning of "but i like the glossy!"... doesn`t white comes with gloss finish ?

 

the white is shiny and reflective like the macbook unlike the other solid colors like brown its a different kind of material as someone else mentioned in this thread before

if your in a hurry i recommend you looking around this forum and search for other threads where people post pictures of the color your looking at getting and decide. If all else fails, flip a coin lol jk

You should get whatever color you like best. You shouldnt worry about what society says you should get or if other people wont like it. Its your computer, as long as you like it, thats all that matters. Hell, even if you wanted pink, get pink. It doesnt matter as long as you like what you have

 

I love the commotion pattern on my inspiron. The pictures in the net doesn't give justice to it if you see it face to face. A lot of people have approached me and think it looks cool, because it looks really unique. But I also like the street racing pattern, but decided to get the commotion pattern because of fingerprint issues because since both of them are glossy, the commotion pattern kinds of hides the fingerprints, but the large black area in the street racing pattern will surely make the fingerprints more obvious.

 

Go for the pink! I have a pink laptop!

Since the picture was taken, the laptop has a sticker on it covering most of it, I'm a bit skinnier and the laptop never leaves my desk.

 

the plaid shirt, the baseball cap, the tallboy beer, the day-old stubble....
all that effort and it still can't make your pink laptop less feminine.


actually, the pink colour isn't bad at all. not my bag, but it isn't ugly.

Sure pink looks good, but it doesnt suites my personality.

Also that commotion pattern looks sexy as hell, i wish that was available in India, as its not listed on dell india site. But if isnt the case i m sure going with commotion pattern, will ask rep. on monday and let you guys know.

I wouldn't go with chill, it looks a bit cheap in my opinion.

The solid colors are what I think looks best.

hmm. green is actually pretty neat too, my two guy friends have their green inspiron 1525. i would say, chill is quite feminine, *for me*. i'd probably go for espresso brown or white, to be safe.

 

In the end we all know you are going to end up with orange or white

Your order could very well take 10 days +/-. What's you ESD? My 1530 was going to take 8 days...but then they had to cancel, *refresh*, and reorder (because of a problem with a part). So all-in-all, about 3 weeks.

BUT, that was back in January...and your are ordering a 1525..so I'm sure things will be in good order for you!

Yes, be sure to post pic's once received, and you have made your lappy your own!

I am paying by D.D and i just mailed them along with the confirmation letter. And i guess it will take 2 days to reach to them. And then ESD (estimated date?) will come into picture right ? I am buying a laptop for the first time and I am not sure what those terms mean ..

How much days typically it takes to deliver after shipped from the factory ?

I guess the laptop are being made in Malaysia probably.. so just factor in 2 -3 days for shipping to India. And the ESD are always an over estimation.. most of the time we get it earlier is the manufacturing process goes on time...

And since you said it shipped from the factory, expect it soon, probably even by Monday Good Luck. Cheers.
