    How long does it take for Dell to build a laptop?

    See, I wanted to put an order in August 3. With next business day shipping, will it get to me by August 20?

    All depends on what you get, when you get it. A lot of times, if there are no delayed items (it will say under which part you order), it should get there within two weeks. If they are delayed, expect 3-5 weeks because they can fluctuate even if they say a certain amount of days.

    August is a busy time to order a laptop. With some luck you could get it within a week like some cases (yours truly).

    My notebook took about 3 weeks to build/ship because of a part delay (cancelled and refreshed)...

    If no part delay, I would've had it in about a week ;) : )

    It just depends on the build time, and if there no delays with anything!
