So I got my beautiful M1210 yesterday and after a quick fiddle around I did a full format of all partitions and re-installed XP Pro. I downloaded all the drivers from the Dell website so that I would have all the latest versions. Everything went fine even though I didnt install them in the proper order, only saw the list on the Dell website after.
Anwyay I had a problem with the bluetooth drivers but they may be the wrong ones so I'm going to try the others now. Also I tried the drivers called "Creative Labs Integrated Sound Blaster Audigy ADVANCED HD Audio" but I got an error message saying something about there being no compatible hardware. The only reason I went to install the Audigy drivers is because they also came with the laptop package on a CD? How do I know if I even have an audigy capable mb? Also under the hardware devices list there is 5/6 warnings for drivers not installed. I'm pretty certain I have everything installed except the bluetooth drivers, they couldnt be taking up all the notices could they?
Any advice is greatly appreicated.

A couple of drivers need to be installed first in order for the rest of the drivers to be installed correctly. Please refer to the clean install guide...

If you are referring to this thread unfortunately it didnt come with a list of what drivers should be installed first. I did come across this list on the dell website:
1. Desktop System Software (DSS) or Notebook System Software (NSS) - A compilation of critical Microsoft updates.
2. Intel Chipset - Helps Windows control system board components and controllers.
3. Video Card - Enhances video performance.
4. Network Interface Card (NIC) - Enables and enhances the network controller.
5. Sound Card - Enables and enhances the audio controller.
6. Modem - Enables and enhances the modem.
7. Wireless Network Card - Enables and enhances the wireless network controller.
8. BlueTooth® Module - Enables and enhances the Bluetooth controller.
9. PCMCIA/Smartcard controller - Enables and enhances the PCMCIA/SmartCard controller.
10. Touch Pad/Track Stick/Pointer - Enhances the pointing device features.
11. Other - Other devices and peripherals such as printers and digital cameras that are connected to the computer. -
You need to install the Sound Card driver (number 5 in your list) I believe its called the Sigma Tel HD Audio or something like that before the Creative software which isn't actually a driver but some software based sound enhancement

Iceman0124 More news from nowhere
The audigy is just enhancement software, not a physical piece of hardware.
Confused after XPS M1210 format?
