    Hi all.

I'd like to pick up a dock and possibly extra battery for my D630 (while I wait for it, anyway). I checked the Dell website for accessories and the information seems a bit outdated--lots of the batteries/docks are listed for the D620. Do they share the same parts?

I'm specifically looking at these 2 parts:

Would these work on a D630? I find it confusing because it seems Dell has changed part numbers, and I can't find a list of exactly what is compatible with the 630. Do all D-series laptops share parts??

The D620 and D630 are essentially the same laptop except the D630 has the Santa Rosa chipset. Accessories *should* work for both.

You might want to check e-bay though before buying a dock at Dell. There's lots of people selling them there for around $30-50 US, compared to Dell at $199 US. You'll need to get a 90watt power adapter though if you only got the 65w one with your system.

    Thanks for the info guys.

Wait, are you sure I must have the 90W adapter? That sucks. Dang.
I found someone selling the D/Port local for $25 but it doesn't include the power adapter.

mace...I'm pretty sure you'll need a 90w adapter. You can find these at better prices than dell on e-bay as well.
