    Hello,

I would like to use the following Kingston memory in my Dell Inspiron e1505 / 6400:

    KVR533D2S4 (533 module) or KVR533D2S5 (667 module)

The Kingston website says only the following will work:

    KTD-INSP6000A (533 module) or KTD-INSP6000B (667 module)

Several vendors are reporting that the KVR... type works with no problem and can cost nearly 30% less.

I would like to buy two 1GB sticks.

    Questions:

Can anybody confirm that this memory is 100% compatible?

Does this memory provide FULL dual channel performance?

    Thanks for the help,

    Michael

I have Kingston value ram KVR667D2S5 (pair of 1GB) on my 9400.
Yes, both those KVR numbers you gave will work on your 6400.
When buying ram, the thing you need to watch out for is the FSB speeds,
    533 DDR2 or 667 DDR2, and that its 200-pin SODIMM.
