Although Dell does not automatically send out the Application and Driver CD's with their Units anymore you can still get them easily. I sent in an email asking about the situation and was told that to cut down on waste and pollution they no longer send out these items, but that if I wanted them sent I could write back and indicate this. I did so and 2 days later I had my disks in hand, even before my Laptop was out of production, since they send them from a differant warehouse. Kinda suprised me actually! But like I said, it's no problem to get them, and you'll want th em to reformat your unit before using it!

Of all the things I've lost in life, I miss my mind the most!!

They do send out the disk quick if you ask for them. Dell needs to put the disks on the hard drive and instruct you to burn them to CD. This would save them money and make it easy on us the customers.
