I live in Florida and I bought Insipiron 6000 about a month ago.
The accidental damage warranty doesn't cover Florida, but when I move to a different location(like North Carolina for college), can I sign up for the warranty?

    Thanks.

I honestly think it's a waste of money, you can do better adding it to your renter's insurance or whatever you have along those lines.

yea the accidental coverage is not really worth it. paying that much amount of money, i can probably replace whatever is broken.

If you've ever needed complete care/accident cover and not had it you know how brilliant it is! It is worth every cent. One of the best options in buying Dell. Screen breaks, spills, impact damage: they can cost a fortune.

I think it is just a preference thing as to whether it is better or not. I do have accidental coverage (2 year) only because I've lost one laptop due to a drink spill. If i had known about other options like insurance I would have probably gone with something else. There is alot of different factors, so you really need to examine your uses/environment for the laptop.

Example: Are you going to be eating/drinking around it? Do you have pets or children that are mischief?

Accidental coverage from dell isn't the only solution especially since you can't get coverage at the moment. Like Brian said there is other solutions including insurance. Here is a thread from awhile back about different warranty options...might be worth taking a look at. http://forum.notebookreview.com/showthread.php?t=9486
