Just today I got a call from DELL and ended up buying their 3-yr extended warranty and I also paid the extra for the CompleteCare coverage.

Does anyone know if DELL indicates anywhere on their website that the CompleteCare coverage is for the duration of the extended warranty?

I did a chat with DELL and they are telling me that there is no where that I can see how long my CompleteCare is for. I find this rather strange as everything else has a duration and for the non-CompleteCare coverage, I can see actual start and end dates for everything online.

All I'm looking for is something I can keep as proof so if I have an issue in the future, I have something I can hold up and show DELL.

Even my original order simply says "Complete Care AccidentalDamageService" with no indication of duration or start and end dates.

I did lookup the tag and it only shows:

    Limited Technical Support DELL 12/9/2007 12/9/2008 337
    Next Business Day, Includes Nights/Weekends QLX 12/10/2008 12/9/2010 729
    Technical Support - Phone Assistance DELL 12/9/2007 12/9/2008 337
    Rapid Response Depot SOL 12/9/2007 12/9/2008 337

I don't think any of the above refers to the CompleteCare (accidental coverage).

Hmmm...that is strange. I don't see that line item all. My email order confirmation says I paid for CompleteCare coverage, just not for how long it's for.

I just ordered it today, and while the extended warranty items showed up right away, maybe the CompletCare takes a little extra time. I'll check again tomorrow

My guess is Rapid Response Depot SOL 12/9/2007 12/9/2008 337 is the complete care 1 yr. Though I could be wrong. Maybe give them another call and ask for someone that can answer your question. Worse comes to worse ask for a supervisor or escalated call person.

When I did the chat with DELL, the Rapid Response Depot was the first year depot warranty service. I then get on-site service for 2 years starting in Dec 08.

I'll definitely get it clarified, but I'll wait until tomorrow just in case it takes a bit for their system to update.
