    Complaint : Poor Sales Service DELL India

    Am The Regular User of HP Notebooks and Desktop, But One of Frnd told ME go for the Dell, they Are Best. So after Research i Like the DELL XPS 430 desktop Model, and Contact the Dell India C Care regarding the Quotation of Dell XPS 430.

    Here is the Story

    1. On Thursday 6th the Gurgaon ( Delhi ) Sales Guys give me the Quotation and told me to Deposit the Chq in Citibank Branch and promise me that After the Process of Paymemnt you will get your Desktop within 5 Days.

    2. On 7th August I dropped the Chq in Citibank of Indian Rs 55276

    3. On 8th August the Chq was Cleared.

    4. On 10th Monday the Sales Guy is on leave and told me it will take 2 days to give you the Order Status Of Your PC. But He Promised that he is Available on Monday And give me the ORDER Status.

    5. On 11th he is On Leave again and Told that his Frnd will call me about the Order, but no one Calls, So i called the Customer Care and they told me that they Didn,t received the Payment, I send them a Copy of My Statement via mail and tell them here is the Status of the Chq.

    6. On 12 August Again Gurgaon Sales Guy called me in the Morning and told He is on leave today also, again same answer give me 2 days. Am Still Blank. Total Waste of 5 Days.

    7 After all this I called the TamilNadu Sales team and told them the all story. Now 5 days is over. And Dell Appointed the New Sales Guy from Tamilnadu.

    8. Now on 12th evening, He Send Me the New Quotation for the Confirmation fo Dell XPS 430. Total Waste of 6 Days time. Is this My Fault that i have to face this Problem. And In th Evening i Get the Order Stauts Link That Work In Progress.

    9. But on 13th The Old Sales Guy From Guragaon Branch, And Told me He is Back and Kindly Give me the Confirmation Again. But I told Him That now My Order is Already in Process and Handled by Tamilnadu Sales Team. After that there is a new Turn In The Story.

    I don,t what Happened within Gurgaon And Tamilnadu Sales Team. I got A Call From Tamilnadu Sales Manage And Want to Know the Whole Story From The FIrst Day. After Our Discussion She Told Your Order is In Process, Don,t Worry.

    NOW HERE IS THE FINAL TURN IN THE STORY

    10. On 14th Morning I just Checked my Staus And It Show ORDER CANCELLED. Enought is Enough. I mailed the Tamilnadu Sales Guy Regarding this But No REPLY.

    THan I Mailed he Old Sales Guys from Gurgaon, and he mailed me the New Quotation number, and Order Status. My Old Order i cancelled, Wastage of 2 days. Now New Process on 14th.

    NOW Just Want To Know is this Was Sales Service of DELL. WHo Will Compensate the Days that i Faced, My PC Is Getting Late from Dell SALES End, No a Sinlge Fault From My End.

    total Watage of 8 days, My Time, Am so Much Tensed these Days, GOt i don,t whats Goin on Dell India. SO Who Is the Responsible for this, IF this Was The Sales Service OF DELL., THan Sorry. It was Poor.

    8 days is So Much TO Wait for the ORDER PROCESS. Ok Am Facin the Mental Harrasment form Last 8 Days, Who is Responsible. Than Who will Compensate this.......

    SO What Say GUys, Is this the Sales Service.

    I don't know if India has anything like this but in the USA we have the Better Business Bureau with whom you can file a complaint if you deal with something like that. If there is something similar I would recommend doing this.

    I think that will happen only in India but here in the United States, they are more eager to take your order inorder to boost their sales. I have heard many complaints about customer service but not hear much about sales problem. You must have been a unlucky one.

    Dell routes you to whatever service is available pending the time of day. From my experiences, India is the worst. Its not that you can't understand a word they are saying it is that they are just poorly trained and just can't think independently (act like robots). The Asian (Malaysia or the Philippines) branch is pretty good. They are well trained, speak clearly and are personable. But so far I have received the best service from Texas/Florida. When I was asking about the SXPS16 and what deals I could get the guy went out of his way and even went to his supervisor and got me a $100 college student discount and faster shipping on top of the all ready advertised 25% off deal. He was very patient and did not push me into any sale.

    So it really depends in who you get. If you call Dell I bet they would be able to tell you the numbers for each call center.

    Had very similar expereince here in the US:

    On like June 31 I start talking with a rep in trying to get a deal for the SXPS 16 she gives me this amazing one but with the 3670. I say fine, this is bad on my part. But then I didn't wanna give my credit card info through the chat, so she says well this ends at 6 pm EST it was like 5:56 or something. So I'm like " oh god no please there must be some other way" After like 15 minutes of begging she shows me the quote system. I buy it.

    2. I realize that I could get the same deal with the 4670 the next day. So i call up Dell and ask them to cancel the order, no, no, no, no. I spent 5 days constantly calling and emailing people until I email Michael Dell and it is rerouted to a higher guy. He FINALLY cancels my order. It's like the 7th of July now.

    3. Then I rebuy with the deal and 4670 and life is nice... until..

    4. The next day I check order status and it says cancelled. I am extremely pissed now. I order for them to tell me what happened and they say oh sorry it was a mistake sir. OK thanks alot. And then they say they can't do anything about it until Monday, I called on Friday.

    5. So I finally get a call on monday that my order was processed. Ended up spending 2 weeks just ordering the damn product..

    So kindly let me know whom should i contact, now order is in process (Work in Progress ) But They just wasted my 9 Days :(

    Nothing, just wait.
    I think you can return your laptop within 21 days of receipt for a full refund as policy of dell and I dont know if it also applies to India. Just feel free to select the best one.
