    I know this may sound stupid, but its just something that ive wanted from dell. I need to know which notebooks from dell have the nice blue coloured backing, like on the backside of the screen. and also, which laptop do you think is similar in performance to the 8600, but does not have the widescreen?

    any comments / suggestions would help. thanks!

    The 600m has a similar processor, both pentium M's, but has a lower-powered graphics chipset. There is really no equivalent.
