I know this is the wrong section, but I'm not getting any response. But, my laptop is a Dell, so I guess it's ok.

    Anyway....

I have some .avi files that won't play in Windows Media Player. I know the codec I need to have, and I have it. I downloaded DivX Player, and the files play fine in it. But, they still do not play in WMP. I thought if you had the codec, whether it was in another player, that you'd be able to play it in WMP?

    Any help would be awesome!
