Clicking failing to work sometimes, is this a known issue?

Sometimes when I wake from sleep, or something like that, not 100% sure yet, clicking will become weird. I can click through web browsers and stuff but I can't right click the taskbar and open up the task manager, or open up the task manager through ctrl-alt-del, it just doesn't open. It sounds like a software issue to me since it is inconsistently working, I updated to the latest synamtics drivers from their website, though it could be caused by my graphics driver or something weird too I suppose. I just wondered if anyone else experienced this and or fixed it? This has happened through a format w/ a different install so I doubt it is malware.

That's really weird, but just so I understand this better, are you talking about clicking only with the touchpad, or does this happen with a mouse too?
