I was trying to clean my m1330 with the screen cleaner that came with it, but all it does is just brush the dust from one side to the next. Are there any screen cleaners out there that can pick up the dirt off the screen?

I brought home a screen-friendly, non-alcoholic based cleaner that promised anti-static properties and a non-smear finish. Despite the brilliant sales pitch, I decided to test it out on my office Notebook first. worked wonderfully, no smear, dust gone and so forth. Note however, that it was a matt screen...
Applied it to the M1330, got rid of the dust but it did smear and no matter what direction I tried to remove the smear (with the microfibre cloth), I couldn't get rid of the smearing I finally ended up removing it with a damp (water-only), lint-free cloth.
Long story short, wipe the dust to one corner and then use a can of compressed air to blow the dust off. If you've managed to get anything "stickier" than dust on it, I highly recommend water-only on a lint-free cloth. If you get some grease on it (avoid eating Mcfries while working on the Notebook ) then add the smallest amount of dishwasher soap to some water and again use a lint-free cloth.
Everyone's best bet is to avoid touching the screen, invest in a can of compressed air and above all, avoid "screen cleaners" which work ok on matt screens but leave visible smearing on glossy screens.
