use something cotton or microfibre and one of those solutions for cleaning glasses/lens or isopropyl alcohol.

You can pick up 1gb ddr2 for about $100, theres an ebay shop that specializes in dell parts.
    It costs £50 for 1gb i think.
You just need to make sure your laptop is capable of 4gb.

I prefer distilled water and a microfiber cloth. No marks on my 1210 yet!

Also, never use Windex or similar products, they can ruin a good LCD.

    Thanks for the replies.
I used a cloth that you get with spectacles, slightly dampened, but all I managed to do was drag the dust to the bottom corner of my screen. There were smear marks all over the screen and I was convinced I had ruined the glossy coating. Glossy or matt - you can clean the screens with the same kind of cleaner? Also, I thought isopropyl alcohol would damage the coating.

I bought that RAM about six months ago for €500. I thought I'd sell one of the sticks at a profit, but it didn't turn out that way. The laptop recognises 3.5GB.

Ok, the haze-I get that too with water. Just lightly keep going over the area with a clean/dry part of the cloth. it you started left to right cleaning, now go up and down. Keep switching like that and it will be clear as glass!

Also, after the grime is moved/loosened, use a light touch. The haze will just fade away.

As a final note, only use a little water, it makes it easier to minimize haze.

    Anti-static wipes work well.
