It's true. Handling a Dell Vostro for more than 10 seconds will immediately deteriorate its value in aesthetic appeal.
Police stations nationwide could save on the cost of ink by simply collecting prints on one of these. CSI should contact Dell.
NASA could've made this thing. It's like the pen that writes underwater.
Your fingers don't even need to be greasy. They will not go away and are impossible to remove with anything I seem to have in my household, unless I want to ruin the paint job as well.
My question: What the hell do you use rid your beautiful, classy, sharp looking black Vostro of horrid looking finger residue??
Thanks,
Derek

On my Inspiron 1520, a wet rag took the fingerprints off no problem.

i usually just mix a solution of watered down rubbing alcohol and it takes it right off of my vostro 1700

Microfiber cloth.

Lint-free cloth, slightly damp with hot water and a dry lint free cloth to buff. Works better than any cleaner. The warmth helps lift the grease.

SkinIt! recommends you wipe your laptop with a very slightly damp lint-free cloth (I use the blue shop towels) and let it dry. Then wipe with rubbing alcohol. This should get rid of most grease and the fingerprints. See the link below:

I did this on my Vostro 1700 and it was spotless afterwords -
I use alcohol and a micro fiber cloth

The AM Screen cleaner works perfectly for the fingerprints: OneClean Screen cleaner

ScifiMike12 Drinking the good stuff
I don't touch my notebook.. well maybe the power button but that's about it.
Anyways, do like the others and use a 'lint-free' (microfiber is highly recommended) and warm water or isopropyl alcohol.
