    Hi,

I've recently formatted my Inspiron 1420 from Vista to XP and downloaded all the drivers given in this guide. But my video while I play DVDs or movies is really blocky and I guess choppy. Also, my overall screen, the letters are very soft and not so sharp as I expected. Would anyone know of any solutions to this?

    Thanks

    1. install correct drivers

    2. run at native resolution (max resolution)

    3. enable cleartype

    1. which correct drivers?
i have: HIGH RESOLUTION, GLOSSY WIDESCREEN 14.1
    INTEL GMA 3100, INSP 1420

on the website it doesn't give you a selection only one video driver and that didn't help.

    2. my native resolution is: 1024 x 768. is that correct for the inspiron 1420? i thought it would be higher...

    3. thanks

the native resolution is gonna be much bigger than 1024x768. if that is the highest your res goes in the settings then you have not installed the proper driver or you installed it incorrectly.
